Booking Terms and Conditions
Making a booking
By making a booking you are confirming that you are authorised to do so on behalf of all persons named in the booking and you are acknowledging that all members of your party agree to be bound by these Booking Terms & Conditions. Upon completion of your booking, you will receive a confirmation email. You should carefully check the details of your confirmation as soon as you receive it. You must contact us immediately if any of the details are incorrect or incomplete.
Paying for your booking
Credit or debit card details will be required when you make your booking. At the time of your booking 50% of the full value of your booking will be required and processed on our website or directly if you have booked over the phone. At check-out you will receive a bill for your stay which will include the room costs plus any items you have charged to your room during your stay less deposits paid in advance you will be required to have confirmation of your deposit payment when settling your bill. You will then be asked to pay your bill in full at this time. Please note that should any guests fail to settle their bill at the time of check-out, we reserve the right to apply the appropriate charges using the initial pre-authorisation approval.
Amendments to your booking
Should you need to amend your booking, please contact us via telephone or email enquiries@theredpumpinn.co.uk . Amendments are subject to availability and those made within the cancellation period (see below) may be subject to cancellation charges.
Cancellation & refunds for individual room bookings
In order to avoid cancellation and/or non-arrival charges, guests must advise us of the cancellation no later than 48 hours prior to 12 pm on the scheduled day of arrival. Failure to cancel before this time will result in 100% of your original booking being charged to the credit or debit card used to make the original booking.
Cancellation & refunds for group bookings/wedding party bookings
At the Red Pump Inn we facilitate full hotel & glamping bookings years in advance for wedding groups. These groups reserve the hotel rooms and glamping for long periods of selling time. Any cancellations for large booking groups need to be made 6 months prior to the date of their stay to be eligible for a refund of the 50% deposit. Any cancellation after this period and up to 4 weeks prior to the stay date will result in a cancellation charge of 50% of the cost of the stay. Any cancellations to rooms booked as part of group booking from 4 weeks before the stay date and up to and including the stay date will result in a cancellation charge of 100% of the cost of the stay/booking. Additional Requests
Please let us know if you have any additional or special requests for your stay with us. You can do this by contacting us on Tel: 01254826227 or emailing enquiries@theredpumpinn.co.uk. Any additional requests should be made prior to your arrival at the hotel so that we have sufficient time to prepare them.
Medical conditions
If you or any member of your party has a medical problem or disability which may affect your stay, please call us or email enquiries@theredpumpinn.co.uk us so we can make provision for the particular needs of the person(s) concerned, or advise you if we are unable to make such provision. If details are not provided to us at the time of booking, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking should it be unable to make appropriate provision for a specific need or needs.
Damage or loss to the Inn
By making a booking you are accepting responsibility for any damage or loss to The Red Pump Inn caused by yourself or a member of your party. Should any damage occur, we will advise you of it as soon as possible although this may be after you have checked-out of the hotel. We will seek to recover full payment for any such damage or loss and will advise you of this cost. We reserve the right to charge any costs for damage or loss to the card used to make the booking.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your stay please speak to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager who will then make every effort to resolve your complaint. If, for any reason, the issue cannot be resolved to your satisfaction and you wish to make a complaint, you should email fran@theredpumpinn.co.uk
General Information
Accommodation: As a minimum, 7 of our 8 bedrooms feature a private ensuite bathroom with either a shower or wetroom shower, colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. One of our rooms (Fell View) is not ensuite and has a separate locked bathroom just 2 doors down the hall.
Opening hours: Our reception is open from 8am-6pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday and 10am-6pm Wednesday & Thursday.
Payment methods: We accept most major credit and debit cards and cash.
Check-in: Your room(s)/glamping pod will be available by 2pm. If you wish check in earlier it will be possible to collect your keys and drop your bags however room access is not available until 2pm.
Breakfast: Breakfast is available from 8:30 until 9:30 in the main dining room.
Check-out: We ask that you vacate your room by 10.30am. We do not offer a late check out service.
Parking: We have a large guest car parking at the hotel and booking a car parking place is not required.
Pets: We have two dog friendly rooms at the hotel and two Shepherd huts where a dog is allowed also dogs are permitted in our Yurts. Please view our Dog Friendly Policy for more information or contact us by telephone or email enquiries@theredpumpinn.co.uk if you have any questions.
Smoking policy: The hotel is a non smoking hotel throughout. Outside smoking area’s are available.
Taxes: All prices include VAT tax at the prevailing rate at the time a payment is made.

The Hotel cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, content, or availability of information about our hotels or our organisation that may be found on third party websites. Neither are we responsible for the content or privacy policies of any third party websites that have links to or from our website.
